It may not be long before much of the business of running a clinical practice will be carried out on mobile tablets like the iPad.

NaviNet was thrilled to be part of HIMSS11. As one of the marquee healthcare IT industry events, HIMSS11 attracted more than 31,000 attendees and over 1,000 exhibitors.  There was definitely buzz around mobile and telehealth technologies. We were also pleased that the show organizers chose to showcase innovative approaches to interoperability. 

Not only is mHealth exploding in the HealthIT market, with more than half of the nation’s physicians using smart devices in the clinical setting, but health applications and mobile products are creating buzz in the consumer sector as well.

At this year’s HIMSS conference, we are excited to introduce NaviNet Mobile Connect, our mobile care communications platform that enables the delivery of actionable, patient-related information to physicians at the most impactful moment -- in the exam room with the patient.

The healthcare industry underwent a tremendous amount of growth in 2010, and 2011 will be no different. Many leading analysts predict expanded use of consumer-facing technologies -- connecting patients with one another or with providers, delivering information and support, and monitoring chronic conditions. Not too long ago these developments were not possible and are now a reality due to the increased availability and use of mobile health IT (mHealth), creating more connectedness among all stakeholders in the care cycle. 

NaviNet is thrilled to announce that we’ve acquired Prematics, a leading provider of mobile care management solutions. This acquisition represents a significant step in NaviNet’s strategy to become the premier platform for unified patient information management (UPIM).

On September 17, NaviNet announced our partnership with Prematics, which for the first time enables content within NaviNet to be delivered to mobile devices. Through the combination of the Prematics Care Communication platform and NaviNet’s multi-payer portal, providers will now have access to vital clinical information from health plans at the time of the patient encounter in the exam room.
