NaviNet: The first all-in-one solution to help physician practices manage patient information from a single access point

Over the last 12 years NaviNet has established itself as the largest healthcare communications network in the U.S. We have successfully become the multi-payer portal of choice for the nation's leading health insurers and a trusted communications partner to hundreds of thousands of physicians, clinicians and healthcare professionals in all 50 states.

But as the US healthcare landscape has become more complex, providers in the NaviNet Network have told us, "We need more. We are struggling to deliver quality care while also managing a continuous and mounting barrage of business and clinical processes." Providers, we've listened and we've responded: Today NaviNet announces our vision to become a truly unified solution that the nation's healthcare providers turn to for all their day-to-day business and clinical processes.

Later this year, NaviNet will introduce the industry's first all-in-one, fully integrated solution to help physician practices manage patient information from a single access point. Forming partnerships with established healthcare technology leaders such as RelayHealth and MEDecision, NaviNet has already begun the exciting journey to realizing our larger strategy.  We will launch our unified patient information management solution in 2010, with the introduction of integrated practice management (PM) and electronic medical record (EMR) capabilities.

As a company, NaviNet is very proud of where we are today, and we also understand that we are in the unique position to play a critical role in improving our country's healthcare delivery system. We have the  largest nationwide network of electronically connected providers and the technology infrastructure necessary to be a key player in making our healthcare system more efficient while reducing costs and improving quality of care.  We believe we can enhance and leverage those assets to further simplify the business of healthcare delivery, improve efficiencies and lower costs.

We also understand that simplifying healthcare is too complex for one company or one solution to solve on its own.  To that end, we are seeking healthcare IT innovators to join the NaviNet Network and become part of an exciting unique solution that will address pressing industry needs at this critical juncture.

If we are to impact change and impact it swiftly, we need to meet provider demands while helping them embrace key technology.  We know providers are faced with numerous challenges such as ICD-10 and 5010 compliance and Meaningful Use requirements, and we are fully committed to making these transitions as easy and painless as possible.

NaviNet's vision, with the help of our many partners, health plan and provider customers, is to build the patient information management system of the future.  History has shown that successful companies share a bold vision, and they embrace and rely on a strong eco-system of partners to make their industries and their businesses better. NaviNet is no exception. And so we welcome dialogue with all parties who share that vision and can look beyond the immediate challenges to build the infrastructure that will bring our healthcare system into the 21st century.

I welcome you to NaviNet's new blog, where we will be sharing regular updates about our strategy progress, reaction and insight to industry happenings, and best practices for running the best healthcare business you can. We will also aim to make it a channel for many voices that will provide a balanced view point to all important issues affecting our industry.

Yours,

Brad Waugh
President and CEO
